Matt Pressberg is a former financial analyst turned political and economic writer focused on American and international politics and economics. He has been published in the Sacramento Bee and Online Journalism Review, among other California-based outlets and is currently writing a book about gun violence.

Matt has 6 years’ private equity and real estate transaction experience. He has written numerous financial and investor correspondence and can synthesize and present data to a sophisticated audience.

Matt graduated in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University, majoring in International Relations. He also holds a Master of Arts in Print Journalism from the Annenberg School of Communication and Journalism at the University of Southern California, where he was named Outstanding Graduate in Print Journalism and served as Editor-at-Large of the school’s online news website, Neon Tommy.

Matt is a passionate traveler and a borderline obsessive geography enthusiast who loves nothing more than putting a real life experience on as many obscure markings on a map as he can. By definition, he hates very few things as much as nonsensical airport security protocols.
